A Quiet Day

It has been a busy week here on this blog that today I thought I would just show an image and not talk much.  I hope you don’t mind.

This is an image I did a few weeks ago for Monochrome Madness, but in the end decided to use a similar image of this bridge that is near Kyneton in central Victoria.

Enjoy your day.

    • Thank you Laura, I quite liked this one, glad I finally used it, hope your meeting goes well. :)

Sometimes less is more! Cool shot!

  2. As we say in legal land, res ipsa loquitur (the thing speaks for itself). Or, in this case, image.

  3. Photos tell a story , I love those kind which express a scene. some people need help to see the art and story in some photos. I like your photo

  4. As much as I like writing. Im a visual person so just looking at a picture is good with me. Plus a picture says a 1000 words right :)

  5. A picture is worth a thousand words, Leanne, sometimes we all need quiet time, so this time you can let the picture do the talking for you.

  6. Wonderful, Leanne! No need for more than a couple of words. 5 stars for your work! :)

  7. Leanne, your images are hauntingly beautiful. My every visit to your blog is a spiritual experience and I don’t mean that in a trite and superficial way. They do something to me and I don’t like explaining what they do, I simply allow myself to feel it. I remember so well the day I first found your blog. I knew in that moment, here was something special, So thank you. Thank you for the life your images give me.

  8. Leanne; this photo took my breath away. It has a very haunting yet mesmerizing quality that I love. Thank you for sharing it with us. :)

  9. Stunning shot. Haunting, dark, desolate, end of the world. Every shot you do, it seems to come out of passion, keep it up.

Hope all is well with you. Been a very tired week for me, long weekend here we come.

    • Exactly what I was looking for, thank you Mabel, I need to work on some new images.

Yeah, pretty good really, been very busy trying to get my Social Snappers Excursions organised, but the page is up now, so that is good. Busy next few days for me, all good though. Lots of teaching. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

      • Funny, when I see a wonderful shot like this one… I wonderful what the photographer looked like while taking it :)
Ive often been flat on my stomach for a shot I want…lol
You mightve used your tripod :D
Yes I can comment on my ipad :)

      • I was crouching down Robyn, the bridge wasn’t good for lying on, you might fall through it, it is a careful careful, kind of place. I put the camera almost on the ground to take the photo. didn’t look through it. Does that give you an idea?
That is interesting that you can comment on that, must be something on computer. I heard someone else say it was because they had some program to stop ads, not adblock though, and it meant they couldn’t comment. I wonder if you have something similar.

      • Yes it does!
I’ve always thought Id love to do a series on Photographers in action… One day :)
Glad you were very careful. The things we do… :)

I do have AdBlock but have always had it.
I’ll work it out and in the mean time glad I can comment… Sometimes.
Tried to comment on your new post, but nope. Wont let me.

Anyway I love what youre doing. I love a yak ;)
..and the Social Snappers is exciting!!

      • Like artists in their studios, that sort of thing? You might have to do that one day.

I don’t think it is AdBlock, the person I am thinking of, had something else, and I recommended AdBlock. can’t remember what it was. I’m sure you will.
Thank you, I know, you and I have had several, always look forward to them. I hope so, I can’t wait for people to start booking them, I need to fix some things though. think I might add another day as well, one during the week, I’m worried that the weekend might be too hectic for some. :)

I remember this image; it looks like an old bridge of some sort. I love the way it appears to be ‘framing’ the light in the distance as if to say ‘there is hope.’ I’m such a sucker for mono!

    • It is a bridge, a disused one Jackie, they built another one beside it and changed the road. Thank you

Hi Leanne, thanks for liking some of my recent posts! Glad to see you´re still publishing wonderful images like the ones on this entry. Very atmospheric :)

    • You’re very welcome. I try, I haven’t been doing enough of this sort of thing though, must get back into it. Thank you. :)

    • Yes, it feels to be doing these sorts of images again, I have more planned. Thanks Adrian.

    • I think this is what I like to do best, and have worked on it, I really should do more, thanks Ange.
