Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone.  It has finally got here, always seems so far away, then you realise it is very close, then the day seems to take forever to actually arrive.

Today is a day for giving, and I decided quite a while ago that I wanted to say thank you to you for all your support, for listening to me whinge, offering advice when I needed it and for the most part being fantastic followers, actually I take that back, for the whole part.  I love writing this blog and I love hearing from you.  You help make this blog successful.  So I decided I needed to do something in return.

I want to give you something, which isn’t easy, but then I thought, I could give a photo, one, if you like it you can download and print it if you like.  The image is for your personal use, and you can’t sell it or do anything else with it.  Just need to be clear about that.  The image is one of a few I chose and two friends helped me decide which one to use.  I hope you like it.

This image was taken in Lorne in February this year.  It is one of my favourites from the year, and I hope you like it as well.

I think I will have to put it into a gallery so  you can copy it at full size.  It is about 3-4MB, or least it should be.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

  1. Merry Christmas to you Leanne. And thank you, not only for this gorgeous photo, but a year of beautiful and inspiring imagery. Have a wonderful holiday season.

  2. HO HO HO! Merry Christmas!!! It’s been truly wonderful viewing all your fantastic photos, and like I said yesterday, you really enriched my Christmas. I hope Santa brought all you wanted. I’m still using my gift….hehehehehe….so I must wrap it again later on. I took my first photo through a window this morning, learning how to do at ISO 100. I’m starting there and the specific settings. I put it on my blog….it almost looks black and white. But, boy did it come out good. (blushing)

Nough about me!!! I am thrilled I have met you, and I know I will learn so much from you. Not only that, I think you are a beautiful woman with a Huge Heart. That is MY Gift to you……telling you I “see” your Heart, and how it does “glow”.

Merry Christmas, Leanne! Thank you for your “gift”. I will put it in with my photos and I promise to NOT use it for any other purpose then mine.

With Hugs and with more Hugs,

    • Thank you so much Amy, Santa did bring me what I wanted and more, it has been wonderful.
      Well done on the image.
You know, one of the wonderful side effects of blogging has been all the really amazing people I have met. I love that part, and now you are one of those.
Merry Christmas to you as well Amy, have a fantastic day with your family.
Thanks Amy, hugs and many more back at you.

  4. Merry Christmas, Leanne. Thanks for all YOUR support of my blog, too. Always much appreciated.

It’s still Christmas Eve here in southern Spain as I type this ….. won’t be long though, before Santa’s here, as it’s 9.30pm. :)

    All the best for 2014.

    • Thank you Marianne, and Merry Christmas to you.

  5. Happy Holidays to you and your family – yes, even the Macintosh hater :-)
Thanks to you for your great photo work and wonderful insight into not only the art of photography but also its practical side. I will do something nice with your generous holiday gift. I know we will see a lot more from you this coming year if you only had a new tripod…
Really, actually, sincerely – all the best.

    • Haha, I will tell him that, thank you Robert.
I can now say that Santa did leave me a lovely carbon fibre tripod, so I am all set.
Thank you for supporting my blog as well, I am so happy that you have stayed with me.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, have a great day.

    • I completely understand Noeline, it is the time of year for it, I haven’t been on here much either, my mum has been visiting. Thank you, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2014. :)

    • It is one of mine too Carol, thank you. I did have a great Christmas, it was very relaxing, I hope you had a good one too.

  14. A most beautiful piece of nature captured!
Thank you for always sharing your talent with us.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas! :)

    • Thank you RoSy for being a fantastic supporter, it was the least I could do.
I did have a wonderful relaxing day, I hope you had a great day too. :)

      • Oh, that doesn’t sound good. Our Christmases are never great, not when you compare what other people do, they would seem boring, but they are very relaxing.

      • I split my Christmas celebrations. One in Czech Republic, one in France. The trip from Czech Republic to France wasn’t exactly without issues, that’s the only bad side… Celebrations themselves went well ;)

      • Well, having founded an “international” family, we have one foot in France, one in Czech Republic. Since the countries aren’t so far apart (1h30 by plane approximately), it’s easy to split Christmas vacations in two. Otherwise we’d alternate, one year in each country…

      • Yes, that would make it easier. I suppose we can state to state. I think it is so cool, to Christmas in one country and then try to another for another part of it. Fun.

      • When we spent a few months in Denmark many years ago, we always found it so funny being able to go to another country for the day, it was just so weird.
