Merry Christmas Everyone

Christmas StarI have some photos from the tree again.  It seemed appropriate.  I don’t know about you, but in my my family we stay home.  We do our best not to go anywhere.  Today will be just the four of us, which is fine.  We have been looking forward to it.

It is 6.30am and I am the only one awake so far.  I thought I would do my post very early so I wouldn’t get into trouble later on.

scxmas-3hpm3388-4The presents are all wrapped and under the tree, except one, would have been a dead give away, so it is still hidden.  I love surprises at Christmas and one of the things I enjoy the most is seeing the faces on my girls when they unwrap something they really wanted but didn’t think they were getting.  I have got good at fooling them.  They now think that it is always a trick and never quite know what to expect.  Brilliant.  I love Christmas, a time to be with the ones you love the most.

scxmas-5hpm3442-2Everything to cook lunch is ready, so when it is time, I will start.  Breakfast will be bagels, chocolates and lollies, no doubt.  Once the presents are unwrapped, then we will begin our jigsaw puzzle.  We have a 1000 piece puzzle to complete today.  We started this last Christmas, we try and see if we can do it in a day.  Last year my husband picked the puzzle, and the one he choose was very hard.  It took a week.  Also our eldest daughter, Briony, was in hospital last Christmas, though allowed out for a few hours on the day.  She is so much better this year.  It is going to be a lovely day.

I have talked to much, again.  I just wanted to say this

Merry Christmas Everyone

I hope you all have a wonderful day, and finally thank you for all your support.

Happy Christmas to you! Its still Christmas Eve here! X

  2. Love, love, love your tree-topper star, Leanne, and the red star and the lovely silver angel!

Hope you’ve had a lusciously wonderful day there and that no one ate too much!

P.S.: Very fine header image…the berry wreath is quite wonderful, and the drapery is so elegant…yours? or from a store display?

    • Thank you 1000, we had a great day. I love my Christmas star, it is so much nicer in person.
Of course we over ate, too many lollies and chips. Haha.
The header photo is the top half of the image I took at the tea rooms. I wish it was mine, it is so nice.

  3. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Leanne to you and your wonderful family! Thanks for a great year! Love & hugs from all of us at Nikitaland! :-)

  4. It is not yet the 25th, it is 4H30 PM, have a great day and some Happy Holidays.
    Very nice pictures.

  5. Merry Christmas morning to you. Have a wonderfl day! It’s only the “Eve before Christmas” here in the states, so I’ll just have to wait to celebrate.

  6. Have a wonderful Christmas Day Leanne. In Sydney we’ve gone from 40c yesterday to a pleasant but drizzly 25c today. Almost Melbourne weather …. :-)

  7. Your ornaments and photography are both beautiful Leanne. Hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family! :D

Christmas Eve here and listening to Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here. Wherever we are near or far Merry Christmas to all when it comes your way to celebrate the day.

  11. Wonderful post. My Christmas is very different these days – I know it’s wonderful with kids – and of course, as a kid, but I also know you can do it other ways and have a great day too. Good luck with the puzzle!

    • Ours is becoming similar our youngest is now 17 and no one believes in Christmas stories anymore. We have to make our own fun. Thank you, the puzzle is still to be finished, it is too hard. :)

  12. The photographs of the ornaments are lovely! You’ve worked very hard this year to bring your wonderful images to us. And, you’ve been all to generous in your tutorials and help with our images too. Thank you very much. Enjoy your holiday with the family! :-)

    • Thank you George, it is through this blog that I am beginning to understand my role, so that has been wonderful. I hope you had a good Christmas :)

  13. Merry Christmas from a very soggy Sydney, where it has poured with rain all day and had a few bouts of thunder and lightning thrown in! So much for a BBQ at Bondi! lol

    • Thank you Marianne, shame about the BBQ, I hope the day wasn’t a total wash out, We had no rain, though it was predicted.

  14. Merry Chrismas for you and your familiy.
It’s a good tradition to puzzle on christmas days with all parts of the familiy together.
    Greetings from Susanne

    • Thank you Susanne, though it isn’t good to pick a really hard one, which is what we did, it still isn’t finished.

      • It was quiet, but we are much like you at Christmas. My husband likes to keep it a low profile. His sister was working so we celebrated with her on Wednesday, and then took her to see Les Miserables, which was awesome!!! ;:)

My family stays home, too. It’s wonderful to be at peace. Merry Christmas to you, too.

  16. This is a beautiful … post. The photos are absolutely stunning … and so many likes on Christmas day.
You have some loyal bunch *smile That Star is so beautiful and I adore your angel … and I would like to have bagels tomorrow with bacon, guacamole, thinly sliced red onion and sour crème.

    • It has been lovely Viveka, thank you.
I love my star, it is very special to us. My bagel was lovely, I hope you got to have one. Thank you so much Viveka.

      • We don’t have bagels in Sweden – can’t buy them anywhere, wonder why???? – have looked for 3 years now.
Have to buy a couple of packs when I visit UK next time.

      • What a shame, though I remember it being similar in Denmark. Now having said that the first real bagels I tried were in Denmark but they came frozen from the America Store. Does Sweden have one of those?

      • No, not even that do we have …. don’t have clue why they haven’t become popular over here. It’s the same with KFC – we don’t have that neither, but we have Pizza Hut that has the same owner. I like KFC!!!

Have start working on a video today about my photo blogging year – already up in 20 min and I have 3 months left to add.
It has been fun, but no time for the blog *smile

  17. Merry Christmas to you Leanne. I hope you and your family are enjoying the holiday. Our family puzzle is in the form of an enormous new Lego set (what were we thinking?).

    • Thank you Sid, we did enjoy it. My husband would love your puzzle, it is his birthday soon, so maybe I might get him for that. Thanks for the idea.
