It was an early morning for me this morning. The others wanted to sleep in. I decided that I would go out early and take some photos near the lighthouse here in Aireys Inlet. When I got down to the bottom of the cliff there was a strip along the horizon that was glowing yellow and then it was clouds all over.
I did some things that I thought were good today. I waited for the sunrise, I was half an hour early and I tried a few things. I did some bracketed shots and other shots that weren’t. I am so glad I showed some patience.
If I had left early, I would never have got this. It was so fleeting. Not long after I took this series it was gone and the sun had risen. I love this image, what about you?
It is a HDR, I couldn’t conceive not doing it that way. I didn’t think I would get the red in the sky if I didn’t.
The storm or bad weather was coming from this. I love this image as well. It isn’t a HDR, just a single image done in Photoshop with camera raw.
I can only show two, the internet connection here is not good. I would like to show more, but it will have to wait until I get home.
We did go to Erskine Falls today as well. I have some shots and will show them after I get home. We are off to Lorne later today for some more photos. We are going to see what we get get around the wharf.
Hope your weekend is going well and you are seeing the sun more than us.

I love that shot, I don’t quite know what it is that I love but I do. Thank you.

Sadly, we have no more sunshine than you, AND no wonderful clouds.
I like the sunrise ribbon, but that second shot is amazing.

I prepared other images to show, but they all seemed to pale in comparison with these two, so I had to leave them out, they can shine another day.
The weekend stayed pretty much the same, not much of anything really, a little disappointing, but it is forcing me to think outside the box with what I do to the images. I hope you can some sunshine, I know we will, we always do.

I would say that you were successful, Leanne…beautiful shots. I especially love the first one with the sun. Thank you for your patience…what a wonderful reward.

Thanks Scott. I’m really a person who is known for their patience, but I am starting to see that it may pay off. I am going to have to try doing that more in the future. That sliver of colour, really makes the image. Who would have though so little colour could do that.

That sliver added so much….

I really like the first one – its just beautiful. Glad you got up to take it.

I am too, especially after getting up early today and going out and then got nothing. There were too many clouds over the horizon, very disappointing, so it makes these even more special.

Haha, thanks, I love it too. I’ve been trying to do some more like that, but so far, nothing. I’ll keep trying.
