We are in Aireys Inlet for another Field Trip. On the way I thought I would take some photos in Angelsea, hope I have spelt that properly. This image turned out to be a shock. I didn’t see any of the colours that are in the rocks when I was taking it, and it wasn’t until I processed the image that I actually noticed. It was a lovely surprise.
Of course it is a HDR. I thought I would do HDR’s because of the sky. My experience with skies like this, is that HDR works better. So, the HDR was processed in Photomatix and then post editing in Photoshop.
You can see Aireys Inlet in the distance, but it is hard to see in this image. I did have a better one that was zoomed in more and you can see the lighthouse, but the clouds were so much better in this one. I love the clouds and out of all the ones I did, these were probably the best clouds.
I am looking forward to my weekend here and I am hoping we get sun with some very cloudy skies. I hope you have a very photographic weekend as well.
Beautiful shots, and yes, I agree processing them as HDR enhances the clouds very well. Lovely.
Haha, I’m laughing at this. I know you don’t always like my HDR’s, but I do, not all, and now I find I am falling in love with something else. Thanks.
The clouds definately give an interesting aspect to the photo.
It’s unfortunate that the clouds haven’t turned out as well as I thought they would for the second one. I thought they would be better. I think you are right, they do give a different aspect. Thanks Colline
Anglesea, although I quite like the idea of Angel sea – my daughter would certainly love it especially if there are fairies as well as angels.
Haha, yes, you are right. Of course it makes sense too, I just couldn’t work it out. Does that mean she wants to go to Port Fairy?
Hadn’t thought of that – he he he – I will have to mention its name very casually and wait for a reaction.
Beautiful shots…I adore a dramatic sky!
Thank you, it is certainly that, no sun nearly all weekend, what can you do?
I love the surprise colors, too…very nice shots.
Thank you Scott, I love it when that happens. I still can’t believe I didn’t see those colours when I was there.
You’re welcome, and that is amazing sometimes…come back and look at it on the computer and find so many little nice surprises.
Oh my gosh that first picture is incredible!
Thank you Amanda, I was really happy with it, actually a bit shocked, but so pleased with the end result.
Love the first photograph a lot!
Thank you, it was a great shot to get. Am really pleased.
